Here’s information if you are interested in speaking at Mastery Path.
We usually meet the second Wednesday in the month (may change at Easter).
Venue: The Creative Living Centre, Bury New Road, Prestwich, Manchester, M25 3BL
What we look for in our speakers:
Topics which help us to grow personally and spiritually
Experiential learning opportunities
Tools that we can continue use afterwards
Opportunity for audience interaction and Q & A
Experienced speakers with good voice projection and effective presentation skills
What we offer speakers:
A receptive and enthusiastic audience
A copy of the DVD we create of the event for your personal use
A short YouTube clip on our Mastery Path channel that you can link to from social media, your website etc
The opportunity to put in a prize for the raffle (a CD, DVD, 1:1 session, workshop place etc). We sell tickets at £1 each and you keep all the money
We can provide presentation aids with prior notice (flip chart etc)
Promotion on our newsletters prior to the event and immediately following the event
You may offer your products and services as long as you don’t do a hard sell
You may build your mailing list by having a sign-up sheet at the event for those who want to keep in touch with you
Photographs of you speaking at the event may be uploaded to Facebook
Free 12 month Mastery Path membership starting the month after you speak
What information we need from you:
Information to promote your talk
- The title of your talk
- An outline of what you propose to speak about and the benefits to the audience of attending (what’s in it for them?)
- A short biography (two paragraphs maximum)
- A good quality head and shoulders photograph (emailed as a separate document)
- A link to your website(s)
Links to your social media profiles (Facebook, Youtube channel, Linkedin)
Your contact details (email, mobile no, landline no and address)
Which other groups have you spoken for?
Why do you want to speak for us?
Are you willing to co-promote the event to your list and via social media?

Confirming your speaking slot:
You may be offered speaker slot 1, speaker slot 2, or both slots depending on the topic; what you are offering; your previous speaking experience
We do not confirm speaking slots until you have provided all the information we require (see above section)
Unless Debra has personally experienced your work, she may arrange for a Skype or telephone call to get to know you. If the information that you have provided isn’t a fit for the group, she will let you know by email. If your application is accepted, she will confirm the agreed date by email.
We then need email confirmation from you and need to know:
- What equipment will you bring with you?
- Do you need us to provide any equipment?
We ask you to store Debra’s mobile number in your phone so that you can contact her in the event of any emergencies (late arrival etc).
The format of our events:
6.00 pm Organisers & speakers arrive to set up room prior to registration
6.30 pm Registration, networking and refreshments. Photos.
7.15 pm Host opens event
7.20 pm Speaker slot 1 (50 mins)
8.10 pm Comfort break
8.30 pm Speaker slot 2 (50 mins)
9.20 pm Host closes event. Prize draw (optional)
9.30 pm Close. Photographs for social media.
9.40 pm Room returned to as we found it
10.00 pm Departure
Filming at our events:
Paul films most of our events and we create a DVD which will be available for sale usually within a week of the event. Mastery Path owns copyright.
We do not guarantee that we will film every event.
If your event is filmed, we will send you a copy of the DVD for your personal review so you may evaluate your performance and make improvements in future.
You may not sell the DVD, copy the DVD, store electronically, or pass it to anyone else.
We provide this to you in service and in good faith. By applying to speak at Mastery Path, you agree to these terms.
You may order additional copies of the DVDs for £10 each.
DVD prices: £10 for members. £15 for non-members.
P&P prices: Free p&p to UK if ordered in the same month as the event.
For up to 3 DVDs: £1.50 for UK orders.
