On 22 April, we celebrated Earth Day, when we remember to appreciate nature and learn ways to protect our environment. Find ways that you can help keep the planet clean and help protect her … here’s some examples of how you can help:
- Reduce waste
- upcycle old furniture
- save water
- eat a plant-based diet
- switch off lights and unplug electrical devices
- drive less and walk/cycle more
- support initiatives to help protect the earth (eg signing petitions by Greenpeace, Avaaz, 38 Degrees, SumofUs etc)
Make a conscious choice to make a difference.
Educate yourself and your children and make more informed choices on how your lifestyle impacts the earth. It’s the only home we have so let’s look after her. Conscious living will change the world one person at a time so don’t underestimate the difference you can make.

MAKE EVERY DAY EARTH DAY!
It’s so easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of life and forget what is really important. I know that I sometimes find myself sitting for hours in front of the computer looking longingly out of the window. So recently I’ve changed how I do things and have been making the most of the beautiful weather by accepting spontaneous invitations to go for walks in nature whilst the sun is shining, then working into the evening in order to catch up.
As you walk, you can set the intention to bring more energy from Mother Earth into your body and send love to her so that you have a beautiful energy exchange. So give love and receive love from the earth and all who live on her back. Never underestimate the difference you can make.
There are many films that you can watch to educate yourself of food choices. Not only will you help your health but you will also help the earth’s resources and the animals who are so cruelly treated.
